VERBAL 3 — SENTENCE COMPLETION

20 of your ~25 verbal questions · 25 seconds each · no options

This is 80% of the verbal section. Get this right and verbal is handled.

From a trainer's slide sourced to a TCS exam document: "Type ONE word that best fits the sentence. Only one word accepted. Click 'Next' when done." — 20 questions, 25 seconds each.

Confirmed by candidates who sat it: "There were 25 sentence completion questions and there were no options; we had to enter the answer directly in the input box." · "No option available, you have only 25 seconds, after that it will lock."

PART 1 — THE PRODUCTION MINDSET

With four options, you compare and eliminate. With none, you must generate the word from the sentence alone. Two consequences:

1. There is usually more than one acceptable answer. "The manager ______ the proposal" — approved, rejected, reviewed, submitted all fit grammatically. The sentence must tell you which. Meaning direction is everything.

2. Grammar blanks have exactly one answer. A preposition, an article, a connector or a verb form is either right or wrong. These are the free marks — and they are the ones you can guarantee by learning V1.
